Access on your terms
By default POM can only be reached inside the company network. From outside, access goes through your VPN or directly via HTTPS with a second factor, your IT decides which path is open. No WEKAS cloud is needed for operation.
Operated in-house
One setup for server, workstation or both. The server runs as a Windows service under a restricted service account; the programs bring everything they need, no separate .NET installation is required.
Updates and operation
Updates that check first.
Updates are included in the subscription. Every update starts with a dry run that changes nothing, only then are backups made and changes applied.

Dry run and backup
After the dry run POM backs up the database with a checksum and adapts it automatically. A version history shows what was installed when.

Downgrade lock
An older release cannot be installed over a newer one. An outdated workstation is blocked at start-up with a clear message.

Updating workstations
Today via setup or script, unattended if you like. From December 2026 the workstations update themselves via your own POM server.

Daily backup
Automatically every day, by default at 2 a.m., with a second location, two-phase restore and regular restore tests. Before every database change the server creates a verified backup itself.

System health
Disk, database, backup, access, licence, mail, printing and services are checked regularly. Every finding has an error code, a cause and the next step, no raw error text appears at the workstation.

Help when POM does not start
A diagnostic tool runs even without POM. It creates a support report without personal data, database or passwords and shows it before saving. A crashing auxiliary service does not stop the server.
Licence
The licence is verified locally.
POM verifies its licence entirely locally against a digital signature, no internet access, no licence server. Concurrently signed-in users are counted, not user accounts. If the licence file cannot be read, POM keeps running for seven days with a clear notice.

The update is installed on your POM server only; the workstations then update themselves. From December 2026.
