Order knowledge sits in spreadsheets, inboxes and heads. When a process moves to another department, nobody knows for sure who has it now.

How POM solves it
POM guides, people confirm. “Today” shows each person what is due for them, what they are waiting for and who is waiting for them. When a process moves to another department, a task is created with an owner, a deadline and a direct link. Tasks go to one person, not to everyone with the permission – through a chain of responsibility up to automatic deputies. The server checks permissions on every access.

What does “POM guides” mean?
POM guides within the rules your company sets, and people confirm. The “Today” start page shows each person what is due for them, what they are waiting for and who is waiting for them. When a process moves to another department, a task is created with an owner, a deadline and a direct link, from order confirmation to scheduling, for example. Tasks that require a result cannot simply be clicked away.
What happens to tasks when someone is on holiday?
Tasks go to one person, not to everyone with the permission: along the chain of owner, team, deputies in up to three ranks, the area’s main owner and a named manager. Automatic deputies check working time, approved absence and time bookings. Before you switch it on, a simulation shows who takes over, and every activation is logged. A deputy never receives permissions automatically.
What is in the core, and what are modules?
The core is in every licence: orders, master data, planning with planning board and capacity, Today, tasks, messages, calendar, forms, workflows, administration and the layout designer for documents and labels. Sales and purchasing come with POM Warenwirtschaft, core and Warenwirtschaft form the Basic package. You maintain the machine register with POM Machines & Maintenance.
Can the core process e-invoices?
The XRechnung import for supplier invoices is part of the core, so it works without Warenwirtschaft. Outgoing invoices as a checked XRechnung and the invoice e-mail with a ZUGFeRD PDF come with POM Warenwirtschaft, because that is where the invoice is created.
