Shipping with labels & tracking

DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS, FedEx, Hermes and TNT – in one flow. The shipment is created on the order, POM fetches the label from the carrier and keeps every parcel number on the record. You set the label format per connection, such as PDF for office printers or ZPL for label printers, where the carrier offers it. Tracking, shipping notifications to the customer, returns, commercial invoices and packing lists for shipments abroad are included.

Delivery address and contact person for the shipping notification come from the customer master data POM already keeps – nothing is retyped. With POM Inspection, a quality block also stops dispatch. POM Traceability follows batches from goods receipt to the shipment. For shipments abroad, POM Shipping detects domestic, EU or non-EU and checks the customs master data for completeness; POM Customs builds on this and therefore requires POM Shipping.

Yes. If several orders for the same customer go out together – several cable harnesses in one box, for example – you create a consolidated shipment: the additional orders are shipped along, and every line of the shipment keeps its order. Orders of other customers are rejected with a clear message. POM also keeps track of pick-up requests and cancellations with a reason, even when the pick-up is arranged by phone, as it usually is.

Yes. POM Shipping connects to your existing customer account with the carrier and uses its interface. The connection screen asks for the required access data in labelled fields. Your administrator enters them; POM stores them encrypted and never returns them in plain text afterwards. As soon as a connection is active, the Shipping menu item appears, and the first shipment can be created straight from an order.
