How does POM handle several plants?
Every plant has its own stock, books, resources and calendars. One server serves all plants, and the site switch sits in the header. Proposals, capacity and shop floor data exist per plant, and permissions can be limited to one site.
Do I need POM Multi-Company for this?
No. POM Multi-Site needs only the core; the first site is already included there. Multi-Company is only needed when further legally independent companies are added.
Can an order run across two plants?
Yes, with a location per work step. An order can also be transferred to another site. Goods between plants move through a transit warehouse with receipt at the destination and a transit watch.
