  1. 01

    The problem

Time cards and leave slips run alongside the system. Planning learns about an absence when the employee is missing, and at month end everything is retyped.

  2. 02

    How POM solves it

Employees clock in and out with their badge at the terminal – without a second personnel register and without an interface. At the terminal they see only their own data and file requests right there. When leave is approved, POM shows open processes and assignments and lets you choose hand-overs; the approved absence takes effect at once in the planning board, capacity and deputies.

  3. 03

    The result

No plan built on people who are not there – and a monthly closing without retyping.

Functions

What is inside.

  • Clocking in and out with a badge (RFID) at the terminal; buffered if the server fails

  • At the terminal only one’s own data: day, month, account, remaining leave – requests right there

  • A forgotten clock-out stays open – POM does not invent time

  • Working time profiles with core time and break rules, shift models, shift plan, supplements

  • Flexitime and other time accounts; payout with approval

  • Correction requests with an approval path of up to three levels; nobody approves their own request

  • Holiday calendar and leave requests with approval; approved absence takes effect at once in the planning board, capacity and deputies

  • Monthly closing freezes the figures; wage types and a hand-over file for payroll – POM does not run payroll

How it fits together

Every module feeds the next.

Receives

  • POM Core One employee record: time recording, absence, skills, piecework pay, shop floor data and planning read the same person
  • POM Shop Floor Data Contradictions between attendance and shop floor bookings as a list to clear up
  • POM Piecework Pay Piecework earnings go into the payroll hand-over at month end
  • POM HR Agreed time off in lieu is entered as an absence once the employee agrees from December 2026

Passes on

  • POM Core Approved absence immediately affects capacity, planning board and staff suggestions; clocking in and out tells the automatic cover who is present
  • POM HR Time accounts and leave account for staff planning and the calculation on leaving from December 2026
  • POM Analytics Times, only as group figures, never per person

Quick answers

Questions about POM Time Recording

Do I need separate terminals for time recording?

POM itself is the terminal. Employees clock in and out with their badge (RFID), without a second personnel register and without an interface. At the terminal they see only their own data: day, month, time account and remaining leave. If the server fails, the terminal buffers.

How does a leave request work?

The employee files the request, at the terminal too. When approving, POM shows open processes and assignments and lets you choose hand-overs. Approved absence takes effect at once in the planning board, capacity and deputies; the holiday calendar shows who is away when.

Does POM run payroll?

No. Monthly closing freezes the figures, and POM hands over wage types and a file to your payroll office. Payroll itself stays there. A forgotten clock-out stays open, POM does not invent time.

What can POM do without this module?

Recording absences, remaining leave and public holidays belong to the core and affect capacity. Clocking in and out, time accounts, correction requests, the holiday calendar and the approval path come with POM Time Recording.

Does POM calculate leave entitlement?

From December 2026, yes, at no extra charge. By default it applies the rules of the German Federal Leave Act, keeps statutory and contractual leave apart, and your company can adjust the rules. It also covers remaining leave, carry-over with a notice before leave lapses, remaining leave and payment in lieu on leaving as a proposal, and the leave certificate. The rules are settings, not legal advice.
