Every program has its own state, its own master data and its own sign-in. What belongs together is linked by interfaces, exports or somebody types it in again.

Every department works on the same database. An order, an article, an employee exists exactly once, each department sees it from its own angle.

With many separate programs With POM
One order lives in several programs, each with its own state. One order, one process number, one state. Follow-up documents take over what has already been entered.
Employees maintained separately in time recording, planning, shop floor data and the pay list. One employee record: time recording, absence, skills, piecework pay, shop floor data and planning all read the same person.
Interfaces and exports that can break whenever one of the programs is updated. No interfaces between your own departments, every module works on the same database.
Every program calculates its own key figures and none of them match. Every key figure is calculated once on the server; screen, cockpit and export read the same calculation.
Many sign-ins, many permission systems, many contacts. One sign-in and one permission system: the server checks permission, module and company on every access.
Invoices are exported or re-typed for accounting. Sales and purchasing documents are posted automatically in POM accounting.

Your company sets the rules, order types, workflows, duties and deadlines. POM guides within these rules: it shows everyone what is due, passes work to the right person and makes suggestions. Your people decide.

Each person’s start page answers: What is waiting for me? What am I waiting for? Who is waiting for me? Messages are sorted by urgency, critical, action needed, information.

Hand-overs become tasks

When a process moves to another department, a task is created with an owner, a deadline and a direct link, from order confirmation to scheduling, for example, or from delivery note to invoicing. The sender sees who has it and since when.

Done only with a result

A task ends in one of four ways: done with a result, acknowledged, deliberately deviated from with a reason, or postponed to a date. Anything that requires a result cannot be clicked away.

An owner, not “everyone with access”

Tasks go to one person: owner, team, up to three ranks of cover, then the head of the area. Responsibilities belong to functions such as purchasing, not to names, per task area and site.

Automatic cover with simulation

POM checks working time, approved absence and time bookings and covers within the team first, then via the approved chain. Before switching it on, a simulation shows who takes over. Cover never transfers permissions by itself.

Suggestions from your own data

Learning lead times, new target times from post-calculation after five confirmations, supplier comparison with the real unit price, staff suggestions by skills and workload. Calculated without AI and without internet, adopted only after confirmation.

The next step is visible

Quotation, order confirmation, delivery note and invoice share one process number; for each process POM shows what is done and what comes next. POM does not create follow-up documents itself but as a prefilled task, so nothing is created twice.

Fits the size of your company

On your own, a small team or departments: the process stays the same. Whoever has the permission and the responsibility simply carries on. The operating mode can be switched with a preview.

Document and label designer

Templates for documents and labels with versions, letterhead, custom fields and formula fields. Labels go to the label printer as ZPL, with barcodes such as Code 128, DataMatrix, QR and GS1.

E-invoicing

POM writes the XRechnung from the finalised invoice, reads it back and checks it, a file with errors does not leave the building. On request the invoice e-mail contains a ZUGFeRD PDF. Incoming invoices are read in via XRechnung import.

Accounting with DATEV

Your own financial accounting in POM or bookkeeping by your tax adviser: DATEV export with preview and a return path from the adviser. The firm gets a role that can only view and export.

Time recording and piecework pay

Clock in and out at the terminal, time accounts, leave requests with approval; piecework and homework with a monthly list per employee. POM prepares the figures and hands them to payroll, it does not run payroll itself.

Roles and permissions

Role templates, freely editable and renamable. One level switch per area, plus the permission simulation “What would POM look like for X?”. The server checks permission, module and company on every access.

System health

POM regularly checks disk, database, backup, access, licence, mail, printing and services. Every finding names the cause, the next step and who is responsible; a red finding becomes a task for administration.

Eleven languages, light and dark

Each user picks one of eleven languages; documents are printed in the recipient’s language. Light and dark themes, device modes for shop floor terminal and time clock. From December 2026 you also get F1 help for every screen and the “warehouse” device mode.

Companies and sites

The company is the security boundary: no company sees another one’s data. Sites organise plants with their own stock and calendars. The first company and the first site are free in the core.

Local AI assistant, clearly marked: answers from your data with sources, drafts that a person approves. It never gets more permissions than the person it works for. POM runs fully without AI.

On top you add 22 modules in 8 groups, one by one, when you need them. Packages are discounts, never an obligation, the Basic package is the core plus ERP.

For the core and for each module you book as many concurrently signed-in users as you need. Each shop floor terminal counts as one user (core and BDE); workers book there with their badge and need no licence of their own. User accounts are unlimited. Modules are not installed but unlocked, no reinstallation. Modules you have not booked stay invisible, and a deselected module removes functions, never data.

Architecture

On your server, not in someone else’s cloud

POM runs in-house. Your order data, customer lists and calculations sit on your server, not in a data centre you have never seen. For companies manufacturing for automotive or aerospace this is often a requirement.

Technically: the POM server runs as a Windows service with one database and holds all business logic. Workstations only talk to the server, database credentials never sit on a workstation. Terminal servers and shop floor PCs work too.
