It prepares exports and records whether a shipment may leave the premises. Each delivery note gets an export process with 18 statuses; every finding leads straight to where the missing information is entered. Added to this are packages per shipment, a manually checked export control and a preference status in seven levels. You record and archive MRN, export accompanying document and exit confirmation, and the proof of export is then kept on the record.

Because it builds on the customs basics in shipping. POM Shipping detects domestic, EU or non-EU per shipment, checks the customs master data for completeness and creates the commercial invoice and packing list; POM Customs turns this into the export process with release. The configurator therefore adds POM Shipping automatically. You maintain the customs master data on article, customer and delivery address, such as commodity code and origin, once – every shipment reads it from there.

POM shows every missing item as a finding on the export process, a missing commodity code for instance, and one click leads straight to where it is entered. Critical gaps stop the release so the shipment cannot leave by mistake. Only users with the corresponding permission can override, and only with a reason; the override is logged. An export control that is still open or has a hit also stops the release.

No. POM deliberately does not create official documents such as the export declaration, the MRN or the export accompanying document. POM Customs prepares the data for your customs agent or forwarder and archives what customs or the agent send back. Export control is a manually checked status today; a sanctions list connection, preference calculation and a link to customs software are on the roadmap and not available.
