The problem
For every non-EU shipment, commodity codes, origin and weights are gathered from several screens. Whether the shipment may leave is decided by whoever happens to be at the packing table.

How POM solves it
Export control is a traceable check of country, recipient, end user, dual use and licences. If customs data is missing, POM stops the shipment and leads to where it is entered. POM does not file official declarations itself – it prepares the export process with its documents, and the exit confirmation serves accounting as proof. Sanctions screening of the parties comes from December 2026.

Does POM file the export declaration?
No. POM does not issue official documents itself and is not connected directly to the customs authority’s system. POM Customs & Foreign Trade prepares the export process with commercial invoice, pro forma and packing list; accounting uses the exit confirmation as proof of the tax-exempt export.
How does sanctions screening work?
From December 2026 the parties of a process are screened against sanctions lists. You download the EU financial sanctions list yourself and import it as a file. Without a current source, the status reads “check manually”, POM does not silently report “all clear”.
Why does the module need POM Shipping?
Because it builds on the customs basics in shipping: domestic, EU or non-EU, commercial invoice, pro forma and packing list. If customs data is missing, POM stops the shipment and leads straight to where it is entered.
