What is the AI interface (MCP)?
It connects external AI programs inside your company network to POM. These programs may only read, draft and propose; a person in the POM workstation always approves. The interface is off by default and enabled per company; every program is approved individually and signs in with a second factor.
How is the AI interface charged?
Per access, i.e. per approved AI program, not per user. Personnel and employee data are blocked for external AI by default.
What does “pilot operation” mean for the AI assistant?
The local AI assistant can be used, but it permanently carries the notice “Not approved for productive use” until the legal review is complete. It cannot be booked. POM runs fully without AI.
May the AI change anything by itself?
No. Drafts, for a quote or purchase order for example, have no effect until a person approves them. The AI never gets more permissions than the person it works for, and an emergency stop works globally, per company and per tool. Rating the performance or behaviour of people is technically blocked.
