Piecework & homework settlement

It starts with the piece-rate catalogue and its price types – customer-specific, piece wage and general – each with a target time and a euro amount per piece. Quantities produced are recorded as wage lines per employee against the order, and POM calculates the amount. Each employee gets a monthly list with carry-over into the next month, printed or as a PDF for the payroll office. Homework runs in the same module, with its own homework planning.

No. POM Piecework uses the employee master data POM already keeps; homeworkers are listed there too, as an employee type of their own. Adding the module means nobody has to be entered again. The homework skills matrix records which homeworker masters which work step; homework planning uses it to suggest suitable homeworkers for an order, which is then assigned as a whole. Bookings go against the same orders that planning and production work with.

POM keeps a monthly statement for each employee: the amounts earned in the month plus additional items such as vouchers, deductions, payouts and benefits in kind. Whatever remains open is carried over into the next month automatically. Months are closed in order, and a month can only be reopened as long as no later month has been closed. You print the statement or pass it on to the payroll office as a PDF.

No, and that is deliberate. POM Piecework works out what each employee has earned in piecework and homework and delivers the monthly list, printed or as a PDF, to your payroll office or tax adviser. POM does not run payroll itself – gross-to-net calculation, wage tax and social security notifications stay where they are handled today.
