Interfaces: file, REST, CSV

POM Integration comes with a file connector for CSV and Excel and a REST connector for systems that offer JSON over REST. Field mappings define which external field fills which POM field instead of prescribing a fixed format. Orders, customers and bills of materials come in; messages such as stock movements, scrap and rework go out – as far as the target system accepts them. Orders can also be exported and imported as CSV.

It lands in the shared master data – an imported customer or order is immediately available to planning, BDE, shipping and every other module. POM remembers where each record came from in the external system, so a second run creates no duplicates and only applies changes. For each connection and field it is defined which system leads: fields led by POM, such as planning and progress, are not overwritten by an import.

They do not hold up the rest. POM imports each record individually: a faulty record is noted with its error in the log of the run, and the others go through. Before every import, a preview shows what would change; the test run is the same path without saving. POM can also fetch connections itself at a set interval, and every run appears with its trigger in the same history.

Not in POM. You set up a connection in labelled fields given by the chosen connector and specify the field mapping in the same screen. Your system needs to deliver files in CSV or Excel format or offer a REST interface with JSON. Access data is stored encrypted and never logged.
