What is Gantt production planning?
A Gantt chart shows orders and operations as bars on a timeline. In POM Planning you schedule across operations, employees and weeks, with capacity per employee and day. Unplanned orders wait in a pool and are dragged into the schedule, and overdue work is clearly flagged. Bottlenecks show up before the due date makes them visible.
How does POM Planning know my employees’ qualifications and absences?
From data POM already keeps. Who masters which work step at which level is recorded in the skills matrix, which you maintain with POM Quality or POM Piecework; staff suggestions rank people by qualification and workload. Holidays and absences are included in the capacity per employee and day. With POM Absence, approved absences appear in the planning board immediately.
What happens when I move an order in the schedule?
You see the consequences immediately: for capacity, for qualifications and for the due date. The plan stays current after the first change, instead of rescheduling starting from scratch. Overdue work is clearly flagged, and staff suggestions show, by qualification and workload, who can take on the work.
Do I have to book POM Planning separately?
No. POM Planning is part of the base price together with POM Core and is included in every licence. Add-on modules extend planning when you need them: POM Resources brings machines, tools and service dates to where planning happens, POM BDE brings feedback from the terminal to the operation, and POM Absence adds leave requests with approval. Each of them is added individually.
